HR consultancy firm SuccessDay has launched its own podcast, Meet the Mavericks, which focuses on innovation and future trends in the HR-IT space. Hosted by Anne Jaakke, a seasoned HR Director with over 25 years of experience, the podcast features conversations with leaders in the field to uncover fresh ideas and groundbreaking insights.

Solving HR and Tech Disconnects

Jaakke highlights that many HR leaders find it challenging to stay up-to-date with HR tech advancements that could enhance their organizations. At the same time, HR tech companies often struggle to capture decision-makers’ attention. Meet the Mavericks addresses this dilemma by offering a platform where HR leaders can listen to relevant innovations while on the go, helping them quickly assess the potential value for their companies.

Spotlight on HR Pioneers

Since its launch two months ago, Meet the Mavericks has released seven episodes featuring founders and executives from leading industry players, all of whom are described as “mavericks”—pioneers driving change in HR technology. Notable guests have included Quintus Willemse (CEO of Share Council), Dirk Jonker (CEO of Crunchr), Charlotte Melkert (co-founder of Equalture), René Janssen (co-founder of Lepaya), Karlijn L’Ortye (co-founder of Mo the Movement), Kees Verkade (founder of Keepup), and Rina Joosten (co-founder of Pera).

Unique Intersection of HR and IT

Bas Eggelaar, founder and CEO of SuccessDay, explains that the podcast was born out of the company’s desire to create something unique at the intersection of HR and IT. “There are plenty of HR or IT podcasts, but nothing quite like this that sits at the crossroads of both. With Meet the Mavericks, we provide a platform for the innovators shaping the future of work,” says Eggelaar.

Each episode offers listeners insights into the evolving relationship between HR and technology and encourages crucial conversations that could lead to real change. For example, listeners can form quick impressions about the potential relevance of certain innovations to their companies by tuning in during their commutes.

Continued Growth and Future Guests

The first seven episodes of the podcast are available on Spotify and YouTube, with new episodes featuring industry leaders such as Gijs Coppens (co-founder of OpenUp) scheduled in the coming weeks.

Later this month, SuccessDay will also host the HR Technology Awards 2024, another initiative aimed at highlighting key innovators in the HR tech space.

Meet the Mavericks is set to continue growing as a go-to resource for HR professionals and tech innovators alike, bridging the gap between these two critical sectors.
