Taking the First Step Toward AI in HR

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing how organizations operate and HR is no exception. From case management to analytics and virtual assistants, AI offers new ways to simplify work and enhance the employee experience. For many HR leaders, the real challenge is not whether to use AI, but how to begin in a way that is safe, practical, and aligned with business goals.

Recently, L Founders – helps grocery retailers drive customer engagement with strategic reward campaigns – partnered with SuccessDay to explore that first step. Together, we organized a hands-on AI Readiness Workshop to identify opportunities, align stakeholders, and define a clear roadmap toward responsible adoption.

Preparation and Alignment

Before the workshop, SuccessDay worked closely with L Founders to clarify goals and expectations. Using our AI Enablement Framework, we prepared tailored materials that balanced inspiration with actionable next steps.

Preparation included:

  • An alignment session with key stakeholders
  • Development of the workshop content using SuccessDay templates
  • Defining the focus on HR use cases rather than organization-wide AI

This groundwork ensured that the session connected strategic ambition with the realities of daily HR operations.

The Workshop

The interactive half-day workshop was designed to build awareness, assess readiness, and identify tangible opportunities for AI within HR.

  1. Creating a Common Language
The session began with an open discussion on how participants view AI in HR — exploring both opportunities and concerns. This helped establish a shared understanding and realistic expectations.
  2. Assessing HR AI Maturity
Through a structured exercise, participants assessed L Founders’ current readiness across strategy, data, processes, and culture.
  3. Exploring Use Cases
We shared practical examples of how organizations are applying AI in HR — from recruitment chatbots to analytics and virtual agents. Participants then mapped relevant ideas for their own HR function.
  4. Impact vs. Effort Mapping
The group evaluated each idea based on potential impact and implementation effort, creating a clear overview of quick wins versus longer-term initiatives.
  5. Governance and Accountability
Finally, we discussed governance and introduced the SuccessDay AI Governance Checklist, a framework that ensures structure, compliance, and ownership as AI initiatives evolve.

From Insight to Action

After the session, SuccessDay consolidated all findings into a clear summary report, including:

  • Results from the maturity assessment
  • A prioritized list of potential use cases
  • Key stakeholders and ownership roles
  • Concrete recommendations and next steps

This gave L Founders a solid foundation to continue their AI journey with confidence and alignment across the HR team.

“The workshop gave us clarity and inspiration on how to approach AI in HR. It helped us move from ideas to a clear sense of direction. The SuccessDay team made it practical, engaging, and perfectly tailored to our organization.”
